The values of the Aluvakkaran Foundation are deeply rooted in the life of Aluvakkaran Moidunni Kunjumohammed, a man who proved that adversity can shape purpose and compassion can define legacy. Orphaned at the age of two in Vellangallur Panchayath, Thrissur District, he rose from hardship with unwavering determination — studying under streetlights and building his future through discipline, faith, and perseverance.
Through dedication and integrity, he became an engineer and served the Kerala Government Water Authority with honour and humility. Yet, beyond professional success, he was most deeply defined by his quiet acts of kindness. He gave generously without seeking recognition, believing that true service is performed in silence and guided by empathy.
His life reflects the very spirit of our mission — to uplift with dignity, empower with compassion, and create lasting impact with sincerity and integrity.

ആലുവക്കാരൻ മൊയ്തുണ്ണി കുഞ്ഞുമുഹമ്മദ്‌ എന്ന മഹത്വമുള്ള മനുഷ്യജീവിതമാണ് ആലുവക്കാരൻ ഫൗണ്ടേഷന്റെ ആത്മാവായി നിലകൊള്ളുന്നത്. തൃശൂർ ജില്ലയിലെ വെള്ളാങ്കല്ലൂർ പഞ്ചായത്തിൽ ജനിച്ച അദ്ദേഹം, രണ്ടാമത്തെ വയസ്സിൽ തന്നെ മാതാപിതാക്കൾ ഇരുവരെയും നഷ്ടപ്പെടുത്തി. ബന്ധുക്കളുടെ കരുതലിൽ വളർന്ന്, ബാല്യകാലത്തിന്റെ കഠിനപരീക്ഷണങ്ങൾക്കിടയിലും അദ്ദേഹം പ്രതീക്ഷയുടെ വിളക്കായി പഠനത്തെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുകയായിരുന്നു — തെരുവുവിളക്കിന്റെ മങ്ങിയ പ്രകാശത്തിൽ സ്വപ്നങ്ങളെ വരച്ച് മുന്നേറിക്കൊണ്ട്.
അവന്റെ ജീവിതം ധൈര്യത്തിന്റെ, ആത്മനിയന്ത്രണത്തിന്റെ, ദൈവവിശ്വാസത്തിന്റെ ഒരു ജീവിച്ച ഉദാഹരണമായിരുന്നു. അവിശ്രാന്തമായ പരിശ്രമത്തിലൂടെ അദ്ദേഹം എഞ്ചിനീയറായി ഉയർന്നു, തുടർന്ന് കേരള സർക്കാർ വാട്ടർ അതോറിറ്റിയിൽ സത്യസന്ധതയുടേയും അഴിമതിയില്ലായ്മയുടേയും പ്രതീകമായ് നിർഭാഗ്യവുമില്ലാതെ സേവനം ചെയ്തു.
എങ്കിലും, അദ്ദേഹത്തെ ഏറ്റവും പ്രത്യേകതയാർന്നതാക്കി തീർത്തത് അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ നിശ്ശബ്ദമായ ദയയും പരോക്ഷമായ പരോപകാരവും ആയിരുന്നു. പ്രശംസയോ ശ്രദ്ധയോ തേടാതെ, ഒരാൾക്ക് ഒരു കൈത്താങ്ങാവാൻ കഴിയുമ്പോഴെല്ലാം അദ്ദേഹം അത് കരുണയോടെ ചെയ്തു — അതു തന്നെയായിരുന്നു അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ആത്മധർമ്മം.

To honor his legacy, the Aluvakkaran Foundation is committed to supporting the underprivileged. As a tribute to his lifelong generosity, we are donating land to five poor families, enabling them to build their own homes and secure a brighter future. This initiative reflects his belief that everyone deserves a dignified life and a place to call home.
His kindness continues to inspire us, and through this foundation, we strive to carry forward his spirit of selfless giving.
As one of the five pillars of Islam, zakat is mandatory giving; all Muslims eligible to pay it must donate at least 2.5% of their accumulated wealth for the benefit of the poor, destitute and others – classified as mustahik.
The Quran says, “and whatever you spend, He will replace it; and He is the best of the providers” (Ch 34:39). The Quran also enjoins the share of the poor and needy in one's wealth and advises the Muslims to spend for the welfare of the general public.
